SINGAPORE, Oct 6th, 2026 — Granite Asia today announced a strategic partnership with Google AI Futures Fund (AIFF) to co-develop and co-invest in the next generation of AI founders across Asia. The programme extends opportunities for the Granite Asia Fellows Programme, the firm’s selective platform for founders building global companies from Asia.
Granite Asia is one of Asia’s largest multi-asset investment platforms with approximately US$11 billion in assets under management. The partnership brings together Granite Asia’s regional founder network with Google’s frontier AI stack and technical expertise.
Founders will be sourced through the Granite Asia Fellows Programme and evaluated jointly by both firms. The programme will back companies across five thesis areas where Asia holds structural advantages:
Selected founders will receive co-investment of up to US$2 million per company, with Granite Asia and Google investing on identical economic terms through their independent investment processes. Beyond capital, founders gain access to up to US$350,000 in Gemini and Google Cloud credits, early access to Google’s most advanced AI models like Gemini, Nano Banana, and Lyria, and dedicated co-development with product, research, and engineering teams from across Google, including Google DeepMind.
“Asia is home to some of the world’s most ambitious AI founders. The region’s industrial depth, scientific talent, and consumer scale make it a distinct frontier for what AI can build, and Granite Asia has spent more than two decades backing category-defining companies across it. That track record and platform make them the ideal partner to help us find and develop the next generation. Through the AI Futures Fund, founders in this programme will get direct collaboration with Google DeepMind researchers and engineers, early access to our most advanced models, and the capital and conviction to build globally from Asia.”
— Jonathan Silber, Co-Founder & Director, Google AI Futures Fund
From Granite Asia, founders gain board-level mentorship, go-to-market and geographic access across Asia, and connection to the firm’s portfolio network and industry partners — the same platform that has supported category-defining companies across two decades of investing in Asia. Founders retain full technical choice across their AI stack.
“The next generation of category-defining AI companies will be built in Asia — grounded in the region’s industrial depth, scientific talent, and consumer scale, then scaled globally. As Asia’s leading multi-asset investment platform, Granite Asia is uniquely positioned to convene the world’s most advanced AI innovators around the region’s founder ecosystem. Google AI Futures Fund brings unrivaled technical depth and direct access to Google DeepMind, and together we are launching a programme built for the ambition of Asia’s AI-native founders. This collaboration reflects Granite Asia’s growing role as the platform where global AI leadership and Asian founder ambition converge.”
